Managed IT services tailored to your legal practice

Every day, law firms across Staffordshire and Cheshire juggle complex cases, court deadlines, and client communication. Amid all this, the last thing you need is an IT hiccup. According to the Legal Services Board, the UK's legal sector has seen a significant shift towards digitalisation, with 96% of solicitors' firms now storing client case files electronically. Yet, the majority still grapple with persistent IT issues.

From sluggish systems to convoluted data management, these concerns pose a significant threat to your firm's efficiency and reputation. A recent survey by PWC found that 60% of law firms had experienced an information security incident. To overcome these challenges, you need a partner who understands not just IT but also the unique demands of your industry.

Frequently asked questions

Do you hold any relevant security certifications, such as ISO 27001 or Cyber Essentials?

We hold the Cyber Essentials Accreditation and help lots of other businesses get accredited. We don’t currently hold ISO 27001 but we can demonstrate that we adhere to it. Security is very important to us.

How do you secure client data? Are there specific protocols for handling sensitive legal information?

Our client data is secured within our CRM. Your passwords are in a secure password manager and are only ever shared via a secure link

Do you have a disaster recovery plan to ensure minimal downtime in case of disruptions? How quickly can you restore our systems in the event of an outage?

We can make you a bespoke disaster recovery plan and depending on the size of your infrastructure you should be up and running within 24 hours.

Are you familiar with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Principles and Code of Conduct, specifically those related to data security and client confidentiality?

Yes, we are familiar with the SRA and what you need to do to be safe and secure. We uphold robust security measures to safeguard client data from unauthorised access and against cyber threats.

What specific cybersecurity measures do you employ to protect our systems from malware, phishing attacks, ransomware, and unauthorised access, considering the sensitive nature of resident data?

We set you up with our protection all covered under the managed services packages, so no more annoying pop-ups about anti-virus! We do everything we can on our end and also train your staff about those pesky emails and other threats through our Cyber Campus software.

What specific IT services do you offer (e.g., network management, desktop support, cybersecurity)? Can you tailor a package to our specific needs?

We offer a bespoke package for solicitors and law firms - providing everything you need in one simple package! This package includes Managed Services, Backups, and Cyber Campus. We also recommend that you have Cyber Essentials - this would be a separate project each year.

Do you offer 24/7 remote monitoring and maintenance of our IT systems? What is your response time for IT issues?

Yes, this is all included in our managed services package. Our response time is 2 minutes! This is someone replying to you to either help you right away or within minutes. You can even schedule a time with us if it suits you better.

Do you have a dedicated helpdesk for our staff to access technical support? What are the available support channels (phone, email, online portal)?

We like to make things easy for our clients so feel free to ring us, email us, or submit a ticket. We don’t mind!

Do you have experience working with law firms and understand the unique IT challenges we face?

We have worked with solicitors and understand the challenges they face. We can implement access controls, data encryption, user training programs, vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, regular system updates, secure remote access, and much more.

How do you structure your fees (fixed monthly cost, per-user pricing)? Are there any additional charges we should be aware of?

Our pricing is very transparent, we charge per device we manage depending on the package you require. Any additional charges will be quoted. We charge per user for backups and Cyber Campus. If you require an IT project this will be quoted and agreed upon before we start any work. Check out our Managed Services PDF, this will tell you exactly what is included on the different packages we offer.

How will you keep us informed about the performance of our IT systems and any potential issues? Do you provide regular reports?

We issue time sheet reports which tells you what we have done behind the scenes and for support issues. We like to be ‘invisible’ so we don’t bombard you with emails but we are always here to speak to you if you need anything.

Can your services scale to meet our growing needs as our firm expands?

Yes, as you add additional staff members we can onboard them and set them up for you taking the hassle out of hiring and firing! Also as you grow, in our review meetings we will advise you on different software or hardware you may need if your firm is growing to help you with demand and efficiency.

How often are our data backups performed? Where are the backups stored (on-site, off-site, cloud)?

How often are our data backups performed? Where are the backups stored (on-site, off-site, cloud)?

Do you manage our existing IT infrastructure and software vendors, or will we need to maintain those relationships?

We can take over licensing upon renewal for your software and we can liaise with your current provider for this or if you prefer to stay where you are that's also fine.

Can you provide us with references from other law firms/ solicitors that use your services?
